Uncomfortable Delight...

It was the middle of the night last night and I was asleep in my comfy bed. Only to be suddenly awoken to the reality that I could not move -not even half an inch- to the left or to the right. It was raining, and I mean RAINING. Well, Moms you will understand, I guess the rain caused a strange phenomenon (different things cause these in my house), it must have swept through the house and picked up two of my babies and deposited them on either side of me. I awoke with one little warm body pressed up against my right side and another little warm body pressed up against my left side. Their heads were snuggled against my shoulders and there were small arms and legs laying over me. Amazingly, (again, Moms you know) as I was laying there my uncomfortable state turned into a sweet moment with my babies and my Savior. I laid there tired, hot, trapped, and well, awkwardly positioned and I began to smile. I crossed my arms in front of me and with my right hand I patted the back of the child on my left side and with my left hand I patted the back of the child on my right side, and I said a prayer of thanks for this awesome privilege. You see, I know that before long I will be sleeping through the stormy nights because they will no longer need me to comfort them. Suddenly my comfort and my sleep are really not that important on this night. So if you see me today and I cannot move my neck very well you will know why. ;)

Thank you Lord for helping me pause and recognize what really matters in life. Thank you for my sweet Mommy moments!!
