come back!

First day of kindergarten.

Mommy's big girl

Good-bye kisses for Daddy

Kassidy, Kade and Kali Rose on Kassidy's birthday

At the American Girl shop, getting her doll's hair done :)

This morning as I dropped Kassidy off in car pool, the teacher helped her out and then I got to sit there for a minute as the cars in front of me were not yet moving. Kassidy got about half way to the door and, as I was beginning to drive off, she suddenly stopped, turned around, and gave me the sweetest smile and wave.  With her backpack on her back and her library book (along with the picture that she had colored for Mrs. Gilmore) embraced in her sweet arms, she looked like such a big girl. In that moment I wanted to slam on my brakes, open the door and yell, "Come back!!" I wanted to tell her to come back home with us and we could play some more. We could play all of her favorite things - baby dolls and dress up and I would even see-saw with her. I would see-saw as long as she wanted. I would let her give me a makeover and we would laugh. We could bake some cookies, her favorite kind. We could read books and sing songs. I would even let her paint her own toenails... Just come back.

Now I am back home watching Kade and Kali Rose play "mom and dad. " Kali Rose has her new stroller and she is strolling her baby doll and Kade has Kassidy's new stroller and he is strolling his big yellow truck!! :)

As for Kassidy, she is at school probably enjoying center time right now, but I already have a few things planned for us when she gets home... :)

  4. AWE!! I remember that day with Crystal but.........I had to force her in there. Crystal cried everyday for the first three-four months of every year until she would throw up. Judy Clark would call me and say, "I just want you to know that Crystal got upset again today but she'll be OK!!" This went on until I decided to Home-School her a couple months into the 6th year :( !!

You are a beautiful Mommy! I look at you and I still see that Beautiful black haired girl I use to sit next to in choir has turned into a Gorgeous woman with 3 Gorgeous babies. Love ya! Vickie

  5. Of your kids, she looks the most like you, Rhi. I'm not to fulltime school yet, but we do 3 days at a K-4 and I feel the same way! I never understood my parent's when they said that 'time flies' when I was little... but now, painfully at times, I do.
