This week my little guy turned 4!! Even though I BEGGED him to stay 3, he wouldn't comply. :)
I remember the day I found out I was pregnant with him - we had been trying for a while and we were sooo thrilled.
I also will never forget the day we were getting the ultra sound and the technician looked at Sean and said "what do you think it is?" And with tears welling in his eyes he put his arm around me and said, "that's my boy!!"
Kade is so funny!:
Last week we were eating apples and while I usually slice them, they wanted to eat them like "big kids" and just bite into the apple. Before I knew it Kade said, "Mommy, is this part healthy for you?" He was pointing to the little leafy part on the bottom of the apple. The thing was, that was the last bite. He had eaten almost the WHOLE apple. I said,"Kade did you eat the stem?" And he laughed and nodded.
When I tuck him in at night he makes sure it goes like this - prayers, hugs, nose kisses, kiss and then talk! If I start to walk out after the kiss he says Mommy, you forgot to talk! So I sit on the edge of his bed and we talk about the events of that day and plan the next days events.
He is a great brother:
Kade has the sweetest heart. He is such a great brother -always looking after his sisters. If he gets something he ALWAYS wants to make sure they get the same thing. Just yesterday Kade and Kali Rose were taking a nap and Kade woke up first so I gave him a vanilla wafer. He asked for another one so I said sure and gave him another one. I thought he ate them both. About 15 minutes later I quietly went into Kali Rose's room to put some clothes away. As I turned to leave I noticed there was something on her pillow next to her head. When I got closer I saw that it was the other vanilla wafer. Kade must have snuck in there and placed it on her pillow so she would find it when she woke up.
He brings us so much joy!
Kade says he wants to be just like his Daddy. He loves their time together. It usually involves "boy"stuff like wrestling or playing ball or climbing a mud hill!
If you ask him who he is going to marry when he grows up it is a toss up between Mommy and Kassidy. He still likes me to hold him and read books and snuggle while we watch a show. I LOVE this time with him!
He is all boy!!
It only takes a minute of being outside and Kade is filthy - he climbs on everything including furniture ( we are working on this one). He is non-stop all the time. So curious about how things work and so proud of all of the many things he can do.
Happy 4th Birthday Baby Kade! Our world would not be the same without you. We love you so much!!
Thank you Father, for allowing us the privilege of being Kade's parents!! We do not take this opportunity lightly. Please continue to guide us with your wisdom that we may do the best we can to help him experience all that you have for him! May he become your little warrior, influencing others with your love! We love you!
