Homemade Pizza and Cookies Night..

In the Clarke household, Friday nights are called "Family night." This week, we decided that we would make pizza and cookies. I used that whole wheat pizza dough I talked about in an earlier post.
The sauce was spread, and waiting for toppings.
We had bacon, cheese, thinly sliced tomatoes, green onions and mushrooms.

The final product. Hehe. The kids like... cheese.

Yummy! They loved it. We will be doing this again!

Then we made the cookies. I know what you are thinking - I just blogged about how I am trying to encourage a much healthier appetite, but hey, it is family night. You have to splurge sometime right!?!

After we finished eating and cleaning up, we went exploring in the new phase of our neighborhood. The weather was beautiful and we walked for about 2 hours. It was one of those nights that I know I will remember. We saw a deer run right near us. The kids loved that. Then, when we were almost home, there was the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen. It was huge and you could see the whole thing. Sean sat the kids down on the curb and, as we all looked at the rainbow, he talked about Noah and about God's promises to us.
Thank you Lord for loving us so much to send us reminders of who you are and how big you are. Thank you for my precious family. I love serving you!

Deutreonomy 6:6-9
"These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates."

I hope we will always remember to embrace new opportunities to teach our kids about Gods love!
